For sale is Stars and Stripes 88, the custom 60′ catamaran from the highly controversial 1988 America’s Cup, is currently up for sale. Two were manufactured, one with a wing mast, one without, this one being the soft sail version.
Mast is currently on the hard, a local rigging firm is available for repairs and inspection. No engine. Probably needs new bottom job. Sails in good condition. Owner intends to haul her out soon to facilitate repairs and survey.

Buyer would ideally be a crafty and motivated day charter operator willing to play up the boats legacy. Or if anyone happens to know some experienced yachtsmen with tastes in “exotic pets” this might strike their fancy. Owner takes the sale seriously, we are looking for a person with the right character to be her new steward.
