Aeroyacht’s international customers base – from every point around the World
ASA Sailing Instructor and Customer (08/2021) David Russel, CA
Dear Gregor – I have owned your book for about a decade. It is one of the best sources of information about Catamarans that I know. As an ASA sailing instructor who specializes in teaching catamaran sailing in San Francisco Bay and all over the world, I often refer my students to your book. Thank you for publishing, and for your thoughtful online videos.
Owner of a Nautitech 40 (07/2019) Paul Maloney FL
Gregor has provided us excellent and timely after sales support for our many needs. He has been our go-to person for information to outfit our boat, interact with the company for warranty support, and we enjoy his enthusiasm. And yes, we love our Nautitech Open 40.
Owner of a Nautitech 46 (01/2019) Theo Van Derstadt NY
Mr. Gregor Tarjan has been incredibly helpful in our search (for the right multihull). He advised us professionally and took great lengths to educate us of the pros and cons of each design. I would not hesitate to buy another boat from him again. When its time to upgrade he will sell our Nautitech for us. Thanks for making our dream come true !
Owner of a semi-custom Sunreef 74 -Nr.5, (03/2016) T.D. Scottsdale, AZ
We have just completed the maiden voyage on Obsession our Sunreef 74. I am extremely happy with the final outcome. Thank you for your many contributions to the completion of this build in the capacity of our project coordinator. I believe that the detailed specifications and documented communications created the framework for our success.
Owner of a custom 95′ catamaran (09/2014), A. von Hohenlohe, Austria.
I have known Gregor Tarjan growing up in Vienna – in fact we sailed together and raced against each other competitively in Flying Dutchman and later in the Star class. His company Aeroyacht is a boutique company that he and his wife built from the ground up. He is a passionate man and unlike most dealers he listens to customer requirements. His project management on our boat not only saved us lots of money in negotiating with the builder but also removed the worries of a foreign build. Gregor Tarjan also wrote several books and his work on Superyacht catamarans and Project Management made us realize that he would be the only professional in this industry who could help us. His promptness in communication and diplomatic skills in dealing with manufacturers as well as his excellent reputation in the industry made the difference. Even after we took delivery of our Yapluka, when other salespeope would have dissapeared he was at our side to assist with after sales. I can highly recommend him and he is the one for supercats.
Owner of a 2010 Lipari 41 catamaran (09/2013), R.Wallace, KS.
Now that things are finally starting to wind down a bit, and while we await hurricane Earl safely tucked into a marina far up the Mystic river, I’d like to thank you for all your advice and help over the past year. Your ability to accurately gauge our situation and help us make so many decisions is much appreciated. Your suggestions regarding which boat to purchase and how to equip it have proved to be spot on. “Lipari” has been a dream to sail and live on these past months. As I got deeper into the buying process my confidence in Aeroyacht grew as each issue faced – insurance, hand over in France, delivery, importation, documentation, etc. – went exactly as you said it would. It also helped that you were able to outline these processes in advance so there were no real surprises. Your willingness to mold this purchase to our needs instead of some set formula was important to us and has added to our satisfaction. Your level of concern often made me wonder exactly who was purchasing the boat! Thank you for all your kind support. My wife and I look forward to continuing our relationship with Aeroyacht.
Owner of a 2006 Lavezzi 50 catamaran (09/2011), D. Ottaviano RI.
As I took a moment to reflect on the summer and our time with the boat, I realized that I never really followed up with you to let you know how happy Rachel and I were with the entire buying process with Aeroyacht. Buying a boat like this for the first time is quite different than the more common large purchases and I have to say that dealing with you from the first phone call to the last was a straightforward pleasure. We have been enamored with the boat and spend 3-4 days / nights a week on her. You could not have been more right when you told me that the owners version was the only way to go. We keep the boat in Portsmouth RI at present but sail around the islands off the coast most weekends. We took our first storm head on at 2am travelling from Block island to Portsmouth, the day before labor day without a problem (38 kt winds). Actually the gentlemen who works the launch / patrol at BI asked me to say hello to you (he recognized the Aeroyacht emblem and was wondering where the Outremer was lately)!
Owner of an Outremer 55S catamaran (06/2008), P. Crosbie CA.
I have purchased my new 55’ catamaran from Gregor Tarjan of Aeroyacht and can only recommend his company to anyone looking to acquire a multihull. I have also gotten to know him as a friend and seen him in everyday situations as I have sailed more than 6,000 miles with him on board – including my very first transatlantic passage from France and subsequently to his base in NY. His demeanor even in stress full situations was that of calm and restraint. Gregor’s integrity as a business man and experience are unmatched in the industry and his personal style of customer service suited my need for quick feedback and response. Top notch guy.
Owner of various Fountaine Pajot and Blubay catamarans, B. Nixon, NY
“Call me a happy repeat customer! Over the past years I have purchased 4 new catamarans ranging from 46-65’ from Gregor Tarjan’s company Aeroyacht. I think this says all about his integrity, professionalism and personal service. I’ll be happy to have him use me as a reference in case other customers want to find out more about my dealings with him”
Owner of Eleuthera 60 Nr. 24 (03/2008) L. Lambert, Canada
“If an adventure of a lifetime is defined as “striking off into the unknown, treading (sailing) new territory, making a lifetime friendship, fulfilling ones loftiest dreams, and knowing that you have been guided by the best there is (in the industry)”, then I have accomplished it all, and in the company of a fellow adventurer who continues to amaze me. His name is Gregor Tarjan.
My name is Lawrence Lambert and the owner of a large prestigious and powerful monohull, Dame Pattie, the 1967 12m Australian Challenger for the America’s Cup. As an engineer/mathematician I demand perfection and efficiency in a sail boat, however after a Caribbean holiday aboard a sailing catamaran and watching the relaxed atmosphere of the crew and especially my wife, Lexie, I began to re evaluate my priorities and perhaps question my selfish desire to rule the waves in the world’s most efficient up wind machine of its day, a 12M sailboat.
On my return to the Pacific Northwest, and after exhaustingly Googling all aspects of Multihulls, I needed to see and touch and compare. An exploratory chance telephone call to Aeroyacht made me feel that I was again about to enter a well oiled and disciplined sales office and fend off hungry agents ready to put me into a ‘unit’ that afternoon.
Absolutely not! I met Gregor Tarjan. His love and enthusiasm for multihulls in a 60 minute conversation was only eclipsed by his excellent reference book, “Catamarans Every Sailors Guide”. What followed was a doctor-patient evaluation to ensure that I knew what I wanted, yet curiously I had not detected any vestige of a marketing strategy.
Within weeks I found myself following Gregor around France visiting multihull factories. My learning curve went beyond logarithmic and still Gregor carefully illustrated and explained all aspects of design and performance of these remarkable machines. Amazingly there was never a bad word or negative comment on any design…..all had there good points, and as my knowledge grew, I became the critic. Was I his only client I wondered, when will the sales pitch come?
On March 13th, 2008, our Fountaine Pajot, Eleuthera 60, hull #24, “Papillon” was launched. It was our choice, our decision, our show, whilst all the time in the background, Gregor working closely and oft times aggressively with the factory, to ensure part two of our adventure will be equally rewarding and exciting. It’s a great feeling to know you made the right choice”
Owner of Outremer 40 (02/2006) H. von Schoenborn, Germany
“I have now known Gregor Tarjan for nearly 5 years and found his knowledge and service unsurpassed in the industry. After reading his excellent book on cruising catamarans I trusted him when I bought my first boat. Although many time zones apart, every phone call or e-mail is returned within hours – sometimes minutes! This is even more amazing as he runs his business himself – “like a tight ship” he told me. In fact I am so confident in his abilities as a yacht broker and leading authority in the field of catamarans that when it comes time to sell – he will be the first one to know. I can highly recommend him – there is no one better than Gregor. Thank You”
Owner of Outremer 64S quote (03/2005) J. Ganem, Florida
“I purchased an Outremer 64 STD from Aeroyacht, the purchase entailed an entirely new design and construction process which made this project more complex then the ordinary order for a production catamaran. The catamaran is a French built boat and language differences call for more coordination and attention to detail then one might normally encounter, especially on an immense project such as the Outremer 64 standard.
Aeroyacht handled the project professionally as they helped me through the entire project including the final completion, sea trial and delivery. Last but certainly not least is the financial aspect of an expensive transaction for a boat of this magnitude, Aeroyacht handled all the money aspects of this transaction according to contract between Manufacturer and buyer”
Owner of Outremer 55L “Painted Lady” quote (08/2001), California
“Regarding your inquiry for reference for Gregor, these are some of our thoughts. Gregor is a highly conscientious man and we could recommend him in case you wanted to purchase a vessel from him. We also know other clients who have been very happy with his professional approach to business. In case we ever wanted to upgrade from our present Outremer 55L, we would not hesitate to listen to his advise and buy our next new Outremer from him.
We have also sailed with him and can only say he is as passionate and competent about his sailing abilities as he is diligent in his approach to business and after sales service. Both my husband and myself can highly recommend Gregor Tarjan. Though my husband is sailing at the moment I did call him and we were able to put together our feelings and thoughts for you. If you would like to talk to one of us on the phone we are happy to do so. We think Gregor is a great guy and is an excellent person to do business with. We would be happy to have him represent us and feel he would be a real asset in helping through the somewhat complicated process of boat buying”
