Enhanced Performance Features
The Panther Series is designed for simplicity, but it’s packed with premium features to ensure a luxurious and effortless experience. A key highlight is the full carbon mast and carbon boom with lazy jacks and a sail cover, which improve performance while keeping the weight low. The yacht also includes a fully battened mainsail, headsail, and flying sail, offering exceptional sailing capabilities. Additionally, it comes with a McConaghy RIB and a 20hp Yamaha 4-stroke outboard for reliable propulsion when needed.
Steering and Navigation Systems
The steering system prioritizes performance, featuring a lightweight race yacht chain and rope setup, paired with a chain-driven autopilot for precise control. The navigation system boasts a comprehensive B&G package with two 12-inch touchscreen displays, providing seamless operation for routing, wind speed, heading, and more.
Deck Gear and Maneuverability
The deck layout has been carefully designed to minimize gear for weight reduction and ease of maintenance. Built with short-handed sailing in mind, it features a single power winch under the deck, forward of the mast, simplifying sail hoisting and reefing. Two additional winches are placed aft for sail handling, along with a traveler line driver. The yacht also includes easy-to-use daggerboards, with lines leading back to the aft winches and secured on clutches.
Innovative Anchoring and Sailing Design
For weight savings, we’ve used a carbon fiber longeron without a cross beam, and the integrated anchoring system is paired with an anchoring bridal for a streamlined experience. The self-tacking headsail and line drive make upwind tacking effortless, allowing you to execute maneuvers without leaving the helm. The autopilot is ideal for long-range cruising, maintaining a head-to-wind position for sail hoisting, and the yacht can be sailed under autopilot, making it perfect for single-handed sailing or easy handling by a couple. When the crew arrives, the yacht has the performance to let loose and run.
Modern Interiors and Luxury Features
Inside, the yacht offers a contemporary design with soft lighting beneath floating furniture, creating a sophisticated yet welcoming space. Satin black finishes with carbon accents are elegantly paired with grey soles and lightweight liners, establishing a chic atmosphere that will appeal to both younger and older clients. Adding to its allure, the Eco Panther Series also features cutting-edge modern luxury touches throughout.
The EVA half-deck and foredeck finishes help maintain a lightweight structure while giving the yacht a sleek, modern look. The foredeck is outfitted with plush sundeck cushions, creating the perfect space for sunbathing, socializing, or relaxing with a glass of champagne and some snacks.
Outdoor Social Spaces
The large aft cockpit offers plenty of room for socializing, featuring a cozy lounge to port and a dining area to starboard, all sheltered by a spacious overhang from the cabin top. This design ensures that guests can enjoy outdoor living in comfort, whether they’re dining or just lounging.
Power Management Scenarios
A typical sailing day consists of 6.5 hours of sailing and 3.5 hours of motoring, with all systems—like air conditioning, Starlink, pumps, and navigation—running at once. Notably, all motoring is done without sails, although motor sailing is recommended for the best performance.
- On a performance sailing day with 50% regeneration and good solar exposure, the Eco Panther Series can go without using the genset, leaving a 19% power surplus.
- On a sailing day with 50% regeneration but no solar, around 6 hours of genset use is needed, leading to a slight 2% deficit in power (with batteries at 98%).
- For anchor days, good solar means no genset use, leaving a 69% surplus in power.
- Without solar, about 3 hours of genset time would be needed, leaving no surplus (with batteries at 100%).
- If motoring for 12 hours with good solar, about 6 hours of genset use would still be required, resulting in a 5% power deficit (with batteries at 95%).
Backup System and Customization
The series comes with a single 11kw genset as a backup, ensuring reliable power when needed. To minimize genset running time without sacrificing performance, it’s easy to increase the genset size—doubling it could cut the running time in half.
With a focus on sustainability and performance, the Eco Panther Series is designed to attract a new generation of sailors who want high-performance, lightweight yachts that align with their environmental values.
