Her specially controlled vacuum infusion process of E-glass/Epoxy, carbon-hybrid composite foam makes her much lighter than similar length catamarans. Consequently she is strong, safe and immensely stiff. The MC90 will sail at windspeed in light airs. Similar to the last generation of America’s Cup foiling catamarans, the McConaghy 90’s rigidity and full carbon longeron also allow for the elimination of the forward crossbeam, which further lightens this amazing yacht.
